Reflections: April 5, 2010

by Gary Keith, Executive & Teaching Pastor

Wii Believe...Death is Not a Factor

Easter 2010 - remembering and celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ. What about the resurrection? The resurrection says death is not a factor – that death does not have the last word – that what we do with our life matters – that our sins can be forgiven – that there is a strong and powerful place to put our hope. The resurrection says nothing will ever be the same again.

Do you believe this? If you do what difference is the resurrection making in your life today? How are you living your life differently because of the resurrection? If you don’t believe in the resurrection; why not? What is holding you back from believing in the resurrection? What other reflections do you have on the past week?  Share your thoughts!

  1. I loved the way that the Spirit of God moved as you spoke, Gary. I do believe that hearts were opened and seed was planted, but I can only speak of my relatives who came to the Easter service. Thank you for obeying the Lord.

  2. Thanks Fred for your comments - What relatives came and what were their thoughts?

  3. What a great message on Easter. The church was packed all four services and seeds were planted. I only wish mine or Chad's family would have been there to hear it. Maybe one of these Sunday's...

  4. Shauntel - thanks for your comments - it was an important weekend as so many people come who usually only come to church a few times a year come on Easter. I wanted to speak to both our regulars by addressing the second question about what difference does the resurrection make and also for those who may still be skeptics by asking why believe in the resurrection. I do hope the seed was planted.
Have your family watch the service on our web site if they are willing.
